Are your potatoes already washed?

Our potatoes usually get a nice rinse before they make their journey to you. That being said, they've still been rolling around in the dirt and are by no means squeaky clean. We'd recommend giving them a quick wash before you start cooking, just to be safe.

Are your potatoes coated in Apeel?

No. We do not use Apeel on any of our products.

While we too share hesitation about Apeel’s proprietary nature, we don’t believe that what has been revealed about it is necessarily a cause for concern.

People typically cite the presence of monoglycerides and diglycerides in the formulation. These molecules occur naturally in the digestive system as more basic components of triglycerides, which is a common form of fat. These two components are then absorbed, and reassembled back into triglycerides for use by the body.

Do your potatoes really have Wi-Fi?

No, of course not.

Are your potatoes allergen-free?

Our potatoes are processed in a facility that doesn't handle any major allergens - so they should be good for most people! But let's be real, even with all our care and precautions, we can't give a 100% guarantee.

Why do my potatoes have a greenish tint?

The green is like the potato's version of a tan, only less healthy. It means they got a bit too much sun exposure post-harvest. They're okay to eat once you cut away the green bits.

Do you offer sweet potatoes?

We soon hope to! We currently have tanning machines and sugar injection pumps on order and are waiting for them to be delivered. Unfortunately, Due To The Coronavirus Pandemic, there have been great delays.

Are your potatoes gluten free?

There is never any gluten in potatoes, but I bet you knew that. 😉

In the ground, of course.

How should I store potatoes?

Keep the uncooked potatoes in a cool, dark place, but not the fridge. You should also store one in your pocket for good luck.

How can I tell if my potatoes are still good to eat?

You can perform the Pot III Exam-9 Oral and Written section. If the potato performs at over 80% it is good to eat.

What do I do if my potatoes have sprouts?

You can just cut the sprouts off before you cook them, or if it’s spring, throw them in your garden and grow your own.
